PLAYING TIME

3rd & 4th Grade Divisions   

Minimum 50% - 30 minutes per game

Must play in each half, unless not present for start of a half

5th/6th Grade Division                                     

Minimum 25% - 17 ½ minutes per game

Must play in each half, unless not present for start of a half.

7th / 8th Grade Division                                     

Minimum 25% - 20 minutes per game

Must play in each half, unless not present for start of a half.

 

3rd & 4th Grade Divisions:

                  Ball Size:  4

                  No Heading

                  No Slide Tackling

                  One re-throw on foul throw allowed

5th/6th & 7th/8th Grade Divisions:

                  Ball Size:  5

                  Heading Allowed

                  Slide Tackling Allowed

                  No re-throw

 

In the event of an injury during practice or a game, please contact Kevin Fryer, Vice President of the SCYSA for instruction and reporting of injuries

Coin Toss – Winner gets choice of starting with ball or side to defend.

 

1. Substitutions - Allowed on all stoppages of play regardless of possession.

2. Unlimited substitutions - No matter how much time is left either team can sub if the game is close and you feel that a team is trying to delay, add stoppage time.

3. The official score is to be kept by the referee. At the end of the match the referee is to tell both coaches the score, if there is a disagreement about the score the referee is to notify Rick Fryer within 24 hours and give him the official score.

4. If there is a forfeit the home team is to pay half of the fee of the match, if the home team is the one that does not show up the away team does not have to pay the referee, you are to get in contact with Rick Fryer about your half fee.

5. This is a recreation league for 3rd and 4th Grade divisions. We allow re-throws for infractions and explain what they did wrong.

6. No slide tackling allowed at the 3rd and 4th Grade divisions.

7. Not only are the referees to enforce the laws of the game, try to teach the players, coaches, and spectators the laws.

8. If a player receives a Yellow Card, that player must be removed from the game until the next stoppage of play.

9. Every red card and coach’s send-off must be reported to Rick Fryer within 24 hours. Every red card length of suspension will be at the SCYSA Board discretion based on the referee report.

10. The referee will now show the yellow card or red card to the coach.

11. The referee is to stay on the field until the end of the game and hand shake line to make sure of good sportsmanship.

12. Players are prohibited from wearing jewelry of any kind.

13. Late players:

a. A late player must be checked by the referee on the coach's side for equipment before being allowed to substitute at the time of substitution.

**Important Information for All Coaches**

For insurance reasons you are not allowed to scrimmage any team that is not in your age group, i.e. (4th Grade v 5th/6th Grade). You are not allowed to have a player vs. parents’ scrimmage. The only people allowed on the field are players of the game age groups and coaches / helpers that have filled out the RG-6 forms.

 

ROSTER INFORMATION

Double Rostering

Double Rostered players must be marked with a DR on the lineup card.

Player that is double rostered must play for their primary team first. If you add a double rostered player, they are required to play the minimum.

6 Double Roster maximum per team, only use Double Roster when necessary. If dressed, the Double Roster play must play minimum playing time.

May only double roster on 1 team.  Must be moving up division.

Cannot double roster in same age group regardless of gender.

 

Travel or Secondary Players

Travel or secondary players must be marked with a T the lineup card.

Maximum of 3 Secondary (Travel) players per team in 3rd & 4th Grade Divisions.

Maximum of 4 Secondary (Travel) players per team in 5th/6th & 7th/8th Grade Divisions.  Only 3 Secondary (Travel) players can be on the field at one time.  Must be identified via wristband, pinnie, etc.

 

Penalty for violation:

1st Offense: Forfeit plus fine.

2nd Offense: Forfeit, fine and Head Coach suspended for 1 game.

3rd Offense: Forfeit, fine and Head Coach suspended for remainder of season.

 

Coaching Box

A maximum of 4 coaches allowed in the coaches' box. All coaches must be on roster, have clearances & complete the risk management.

 

HOME COACH MUST REACH OUT TO OPPOSING COACH TO CONFIRM GAME BY 6:00 PM WEDNESDAY EACH WEEK!
