All teams moving on to the playoffs are based on points.

Field and dates are to be announced at a later date.

 

PLAYOFFS

Rain-Out Policy - Week 8 and Week 9

Postponements of games must be made up the following Wednesday or next available time.

Not rescheduling will result in a forfeit or teams losing the opportunity to get points. The game will count as a scheduled game not played.

 

The season will not be backed up.

 

Tiebreakers for the SCYSA Playoffs

Tie Breakers for teams to qualify for the SCYSA playoffs in a division without a bye. Points are the determining factor for seeds in the SCYSA playoffs. If teams are tied at the end of the season, the tie breakers are:

1. Points

2. Head-to-head

3. Goals against

4. Coin flip

Goal differential is not used to determine seeding. If there is a tie involving teams to qualify for the playoffs, a play-in game will be held on the Wednesday prior to the playoffs at 5:00 pm at a neutral site.

 

In a division where there are byes, Points are still the main determining factor for playoff seeding except in cases where 2 teams are within 3 points of each other, and the lower team defeated the team above them in head-to-head play.

 

Example: Team 3 finishes with 21 points after playing 9 games. Team 4 played 8 games and finished with 19 points. Team 4 defeated Team 3 in week 6 by a score of 6 to 1. Team 4 would be seeded higher.
